Writing songs has been a passion since I was very young, and I have found there is no greater subject than the One who invented the music.
The Word Will Stand
This song was inspired by a poem written by Samuel Valentine Cole which says, "Hammer away ye hostile hands. The hammers break, but the anvil stands."
The Word of God cannot be discounted, discredited, or dismissed. It's truth has withstood the test of time. The Word will stand, regardless of the moral decline of our culture or the fervor of those who rail against God's instructions for His creation. The body of Christ must always speak in love, but we must never be afraid to promote what God has ordained as right and to denounce what God has declared is wrong. Whom shall we fear? God is on our side! Written and performed by Heather Norman Smith, Copyright 2017 Audio recording produced by Ryan Reedy Music Studios "The Word Will Stand" is available for download on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby.com, and other digital platforms. |

You Are Everything

This is a worship song I wrote in 2016. To me, this is the meaning of life summed up in one song. I hope you enjoy the video and the special appearance by my daughter, Sarah.

How Forever Feels
This is a song I wrote for Alex right before we were married. This song is perfect for use in Christian weddings because it speaks of the providence of God in bringing two believers together as husband and wife.
